Concerning slow delivery to the U.S.:
Our daughter in Mainz mailed two Christmas packages to the U.S this year. One to our other daughter in Connecticut on November 22, the other to us here in Milwaukee on November 25. The package mailed on the 22nd arrived in 10 days. Ours still has not arrived on December 31. In the past, we have had packages mailed from Germany in late November that did not get here until St. Valentine’s Day.
You might want to consider an alternate carrier.

thank you for your suggestion.
You may be assured that we’re as frustrated with the delay of our parcels and the insufficient quality of usps as you are with not being able to order the boxes on amazon.
I just checked again. 1 of 2 parcels reached amazon on Friday. So you should be able to order within the next couple of days.
